Union Pizzeria

We had an early end-of-quarter TA dinner to say goodbye to Ben, since he was leaving early for Boston to start Match Corps. It never really hit me that college hasn't ended until now, but this and and watching Cathy move out really drove it home. I've been in denial for the past couple of months.

I've been to Union before, but the food was even more delicious this time around. The venue is stunning, with floor to ceiling windows and elegant hanging lights. The restaurant is definitely a head turner; the first time I saw this place was in passing on my way to Jewel, and I swore that I must eat here one day because of how pretty it looked from the outside in the evening. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture :( I also forgot to to take a picture of our dessert, an incredible cherry chocolate panna cotta that was probably the best panna cotta I've ever had. Double sadness :( :(

Pizza special of the week: smoked salmon and arugula, with bechamel sauce and a perfect not-too-thin, not-too-chewy crust

Wally is pleased with his smoked turkey sandwich

My huge bowl of mussels with white wine, shallots, thyme, and four enormous bread sticks

Science nerds do fun things too! (sometimes)

Wally loved my broth so much that he requested a box for it, but ended up slurping the rest with a spoon.
